The Club will be holding its AGM on Thursday 20th July 2023 @ 20:30hrs.
It is starting a little later to give the players the opportunity to train prior to the meeting.
We, the Committee would like as many of you, our members to join us at the Club to hear a review of everything that we’ve achieved together over the course of the 22/23 season, a summary of our financial performance and importantly our plans and ambition for the forthcoming 23/24 season. We’d also like to hear your thoughts and feedback as well as respond to any questions you may have.
It’s been a significant year for the Club both on and off the pitch. We have continued to develop as a club in particularly across Mini & Juniors, Girls and Women’s sections which has been fantastic to see. Our Colts won the League, reached two cup finals , winning one. Men’s 1st XV stayed in the league after a tough season and won the cup at Darlington.
Off the pitch we have continued to invest in the Clubhouse and grounds with continued financial prudence in challenging times. Our aspirational project to have the installation for a lift to the first floor has gone a step further with planning consent for the installation and the challenge in the coming months is to obtain grant funding to support the project.
We have continued to put some great events on at the club in particular the CRY Event (Cardiac Risk in the Young) to raise awareness of the condition and much needed funds for the charity.
The next planned event is the Comedy Night on Saturday 15 July 2023 and tickets are still are still available for a night of fun and laughter. The tickets for Oktoberfest 2023 will be on sale in the coming weeks for a not to miss event on Saturday 14 October 2023.
None of this would be possible without the support of all the volunteer committee members and volunteers who support the club.
We have some significant changes in committee members and roles this coming season and we will be supporting new members coming on to the committee to develop the club.
So, if you can spare the time, please join us on Thursday 20 July from 20:30hrs, listen to what we have to say about how we’re running your Club and have your say. The bar will be open, and the players will be training for pre-season so plenty going on. Let’s come together to make it a great AGM!
