Volunteers needed to support your senior mens teams

The club need additional volunteers to support its senior men’s teams. If you want to support your club and help us to improve then these roles may suit you.

2nd Team Coach

Any former players/coaches out there who want to give something back to the club this may be the role for you. Supporting the 2nd team manager and captain prepare the match day squad for games, you will work with the existing senior coaches, but your focus will be solely on the 2nd XV. Working with the team on Thursday evenings at training and Saturdays before and during the game this is a critical role to create a successful team and produce a team whose players are competing for places in the 1st XV. Coaching qualifications are not required but RFU courses will be made available if wanted by the successful candidate.

3rd team manager

Someone to support the 3rd team captain on matchdays. Manage the team from the touchline and assist in selecting and helping out with match day preparations

Match Day organiser

Someone who wishes to support all the senior teams who play at home on matchdays. The role will be to welcome opposition teams and match officials, organise referee expenses, assist in setting up playing pitches, organising equipment and kit as required, ensuring players receive meal tickets, organising changing facilities and helping with a variety of tasks on matchdays

Academy support

To work with coaches of our Academy teams (under 17 &18s) to assist in the integration of players into the senior teams. Organising events and activities in transition weeks which allows players to prepare for playing Rugby for our senior teams when they are ready. To liaise with players and coaches to provide assistance and opportunities for our academy players to access education, training, apprenticeships and employment opportunities which allow them to continue playing rugby once they have finished playing for our academy teams. The role will require building partnerships with employers and educational establishments to provide opportunities for our players.

All roles can be shared to reduce the workload

If you are interested in any of these volunteering roles or require further information to help you decide if this is suitable for you, please contact Dave Allcock, Director of Rugby on 077932 48310 or email at dave.allcock@hotmail.co.uk
