It’s with great sadness that, after a long battle with cancer, Mike Lapworth passed away on 2nd October surrounded by his family.
There follows a note from Stella and the family, our thoughts are with you.
My grandad loved an adventure - please if any of his wider friends would like to join at any point on his final journey we know he would want as many people there as possible in the given circumstances- thank you❤💔
Mike, sadly lost his battle with cancer on the 2nd October 2020. Life without his warm heart, witty humour and gentle ways will never be the same.
His funeral will be held at Vale Royal Crematorium on the 15th October @ 12.00.
Unfortunately it will not be the “party” he wished for, due to the COVID restrictions of 30, but you are welcome to congregate outside the crematorium if you so wish.
We will be driving to Winnington Park Rugby Club @ 11.20 so his many friends can send him on his final “adventure” Thank you for all your kind wishes and beautiful flowers.
