Friday night lights

1st Warm up game V Wilmslow – Friday 11th August 7.30pm

Our senior men entertain Wilmslow at Burrows Hill on Friday 11th August

This is the first of a series of games to help prepare for the coming season .

Park will field mixed teams and all senior players who are available will get some time on the pitch.

We are looking to see some of our new additions in action and some of last season’s Colts who have now joined up with our senior squads.

Further warm up games take place V Burnley(away) on 19th August followed by another Friday night game V Birkenhead Park in the Cheshire Vase

Get down and support the lads

Pre-season training is well underway with 65 players attending so far. For those players who haven’t been down we only have 4 weeks to go until all 3 of our teams are in action.

We are still recruiting and welcome any new players to the club regardless of age or experience. So if you have moved back in with your parents, come home from university, just moved to the area, played as a junior but then packed up, or you are just waiting for the right time to get back into rugby now is your chance. Here at Winnington Park we always welcome new players so come on down and see what is on offer.

Training sessions at Park are enjoyable with lots of fun through conditioned games to allow the development of Rugby skills. Although sessions will become more game focussed once we get closer to our pre-season friendlies in August and the start of the league season in September, they are always fun.

And with 3 senior sides we have a team for everyone.

So what’s in it for you ?

  • You will play on the best pitches and have access to the best facilities around
  • Be coached by our fully qualified coaching team who have played the game at the highest level
  • You will have access to our Gym and Physio services
  • You will keep fit and active and have a great time
  • You will meet friends for life and the opportunity to get involved in a really active social scene at the club

Anyone interested in getting involved can make contact via the club website at wprfc.com or contact Dave Allcock on 07554 050134 or just turn up to a practice session on a Tuesday or Thursday from 7pm.
