Change of Mini & Junior Chairman
To update you post AGM that Paul Rees has decided to step down from the MJ Chairmans role, Paul has completed this role for 3 years and feels the time is right to hand the baton and responsibility on. I just want to thank Paul for his efforts during this time, particularly during the COVID pandemic. Paul will now focus on his coaching not only with his own age group but also supporting other sections of the club including the senior sides and the Sale Sharks DPP.
Using this time of change the MJ section will be overhauled in terms if its structure and identify key roles. Jen (Nearey) William's will be taking over the role and replacement for Paul as Director of MJ rugby, Jen is a fantastic addition to the committee, her passion and drive is infectious and will also continue to coach the u6s and remain a player in the senior ladies team. To support Jen, Claire Ross has kindly taken the head of juniors position who will represent and report into Jen, we are also close to finalising the head of minis section.
Jen and Paul will plan a coaches and team admins meeting at the club on Sunday 5th September- time TBC. To go though the main headlines and an introduction as it's the start of the season.
There are many strands to this role so this will be handed over to Jen over a period of time. Therefore please be patient, Paul will continue to support Jen until the handover is complete.
