A Message from the Chairman
With pre-season training and conditioning already underway, I wanted to take this opportunity to update all our members, supporters, and followers on our coaching team structure for the upcoming season.
While last year’s coaching setup didn’t fully settle until midway through the season, I’m delighted to announce that we have retained the services of our Head Coach, Martin Poste, along with the core coaching team who quickly laid the foundations of their coaching plan. They are eager to build on a strong finish to last season.
Unfortunately for us, our Assistant Head Coach, Steve Dorrington, has accepted a fantastic invitation to become the Honorary President of New Brighton Rugby Club for their centenary season. Steve did a tremendous job for us last year, and we all wish him the very best as he steps into his new role. Big shoes to fill — but we’re pleased to have secured the services of Joe White to step into Steve’s role.
I’d also like to thank Steve Berg, who has stepped down as our Women’s Head Coach after six outstanding years leading the ladies’ section. Tony King will now take up the baton and continue to build on the strong foundations Steve has laid for even greater success.
