Winnington Park U15 arrived at Crewe and Nantwich with 5  players (Daisy, Cassie, Amy, Freya and Chrissie) so they formed a barbarians team with Chester and Oswestry.

The first game against Elsmere Port saw the girls  start to work together. Very early in the match saw Daisy and Cassie combine to put Freya away in the corner, and Amy who was playing out of position at Full back added the 2 points with a superbly struck conversion.
After some resolute defence Chrissie counter rucked brilliantly to secure a turnover. All teams combining to get the ball out to Cassie on the wing who had the pace to finish off another try.
The move of the match followed with 3 phases in the middle of the pitch setting up a move with Daisy floating floating a beautifully weighted pass over the defending backs to Cassie in full flight on the left wing who could not be caught. Amy again added the extras.
The second half followed a similar pattern with the Winnington Park girls showing  great handling and rucking skills with the Barbarians team running out comfortable winners.

The second game against a strong and well drilled West Park team was a much more competitive affair. West park scoring first after 5 minutes of resolute defensive work by the Winnington Park girls and their team mates.
They showed their grit by working through multiple plays to get the second try. Daisy getting another of the many the turnovers that she was now noted for, got the ball to the backs who went wide for Freya to power over in the corner.

West Park eventually won the match but special mention should to Cassie who put in several spectacular cover tackles  against very strong opposition against to save otherwise certain tries and making it a tense close match.
