Winnington Park U15s vs Sandbach U15s. Result 43-17
Apart from the odd missing player and several players carrying knocks from school matches the previous day, we started with 18 players for our first game of the season. A sluggish start and some excellent running lines from Sandbach saw them go into a quick 12 point lead. But our lads are very resilient and pulled together as a team and held Sandbach and began to turn the tide of the game. A couple of quick tries from Ben and Ethan and gaps started appearing. We ran in 5 more tries (Rhys (x2), Charlie, Reece and Tristan) until Sandbach took the last points of the game in the dying seconds. Very pleasing for the coaches to see such tremendous team spirit and effort repaid with a great result and so many try scorers. Conversions by Toby, Tristan (x2) and Rhys
